Good for body of full face painting as well as details
Like any oil based face paint, this has its positives and negatives. Hopefully you have translucent setting powder. This would be good for coverage of large areas. It isn’t the best choice to use as a foundation and try to paint on top of it. With brushes it works great for detail, but again, you’ll need to set it to keep it from smearing. Oil based paints stand up if you get wet and don’t run if you sweat. The downside is that if you make a mistake or smear it, it isn’t the most forgiving for clean up. It requires soap and water to get off. So every face/body paint has its ups and downs and you you just have to try them out to decide what you like best. I like them each for different reasons but this is a great way for the price to play with it and decide how you feel about it.

This is an excellent product!Granted, we don’t dress up or paint faces often, but we did on Halloween and my daughter–who was a skeleton, looked amazing!The paint sticks very well and doesn’t streak, isn’t too shiny, and cleaned off fairly easily once the night was done with no skin reactions to speak of.The brushes and added sponges are everything you need to apply accurately and easily.I’m betting my daughter will want to use this again, soon, simply just to play around with.Easy recommendation!

Good Coverage but Smudges Easily
The colors go on smoothly and have good coverage, but the paint feels a bit heavy and can smudge if touched. It does stay on fairly well otherwise, though cleanup takes some effort. Overall, it’s an okay set for short-term use or basic costume looks.

I am a traditional art and preschooler mom. Recently I have picked up facepainting as a new hobby. My daughter loves to have her face painted. I find that I need some good paint pots of basic coverage colors white and black. I saw this set and was interested since it also came with sponges and brushes to use.First off I love that the pots come with inner lids with easy to remove and replace seals. That is a nice touch to the set. I also like that I could use those lids as little mixing surfaces or scoop and put product on the inner lids if I wanted to keep other colors from mixing in. A good value for what is included, and I think the price is about right.I am not the largest fan of oil based paint, and normally I would pass. However the good size of the jars made me reconsider. The product is smooth, and applies with ease. I was able to mix colors and do some simple bases on myself. The colors washed off with a wipe.I wasn’t able to find any sort of ingredients list anywhere. I know it’s not really required, but for peace of mind, I’d like to know what’s in the product like any cosmetic or skin product.

Greasy and smudfeable but layerable
I hate to give products bad reviews, but I feel this is something that would typically be purchased for Halloween and likely used on kids or people who plan on wearing the paint for a long time. I have to say, it’s simply not great for that purpose.I’ll start with the pigment: The white is chock-full of pigment, and it only takes perhaps a half-swipe to begin to build this color. The black, surprisingly, is a little less so, which leads me to my next point.That next point is the greasiness. I know that these kinds of face paints are often called “grease paints” or “grease crayons” when they’re in that format, but these were greasy beyond reason. We’re talking about an oily, thick, almost Vaseline-type texture, only oilier.While they do dry down to a relatively matte finish, it doesn’t fix the fact that they are so smudgeable. As you can see in my picture, I drew straight lines of both colors and then just lightly and quickly swiped over one half. Both the white and the black immediately smudged.I appreciate the tools that this came with and the amount of paint. I think it could work out, but proper application, skin prep, and setting it with powder or another agent to help dry up the oiliness would be key. The high pigmentation is why I’m giving it three stars despite my negative experience.Long story short, this is an affordable way to get a lot of pigment, as long as you are willing to use additional products to make it work, eliminate the oiliness, and help it stay on for an extended period with a proper finish.

Nice face paint set
This is a nice black and white face paint set. The colors are vibrant and you can layer it so you can control the darkness. I like that it comes with couple paint brushes and makeup applicators that you can use to apply. I got this product to use for a Wednesday Adams costume but you could use it for plenty of other costumes too. Overall I would recommend this face paint.

Affordable Halloween Face Paint – Smudges Easily
I ordered this for Halloween and have only tested it out so far. My girls are being a black cat, witch and Wednesday, so I wanted some face paint to create some spooky faces. The price is great considering the large quantity of product, and I appreciate that it came with brushes and sponges.I tested both colors out on my hand, and while they were easy to spread and blend, the lasting power has me a bit concerned. They have a greasy consistency that easily rubs off when touched. I’ll have to be sure my kids don’t touch their faces after putting this on. This may be better suited for full face application when you need a good base color and not for fine details that could get easily smudged. Overall though, I think it’s a good product and would recommend to others looking for a good value option.
