Very nice all in one palette
I got this makeup palette to use for everyday eye and face looks, and I really like it, especially as someone who’s still fairly new to makeup. The pigments are gentle and buildable rather than showing up extremely strong right away, which I find much more forgiving. I prefer a natural look, so I don’t have to worry as much about applying too much and ending up looking like I’m still figuring things out.There’s also a good range of products in one palette. Having eyeshadows alongside a bronzer and highlighter gives me most of what I need in one place, and the shades suit my complexion nicely. I’m not fully confident on makeup terminology yet, but my skin leans more olive toned, and I’ve been happy with how the colours show up on me.Everything I’ve tried blends easily without any harsh, obvious transitions. A few of the shades are a bit more sparkly than I personally prefer, since I lean toward a subtle, natural finish, but that comes down to personal taste rather than an issue with the formula.I had read that this palette has a noticeable smell, so I checked mine specifically for that. To me, it mostly just smells like makeup, with maybe a very light, pleasant scent underneath. I’m fairly sensitive to fragrances and haven’t found this one bothersome.I also like the built in mirror and the plastic insert that protects the powders. Removing the insert made me nervous the first time, since I had to tip the palette over and wasn’t sure how well the powders would stay in place, but everything held up fine.Overall, this is a really good starter palette. It gives me a wide range to experiment with, the pigmentation is forgiving, everything blends easily, and I can put together a subtle look without needing a full collection of separate products. I’d recommend it.

Not impressed with this quality
Pretty disappointed with this:First, the biggest issue – this arrived with one of the cakes completely broken and crumbled into loose powder inside the box. I know sometimes you can’t help an isolated shipping accident, but I see other reviews noting damage as well. I have ordered a lot of make up online, and this is the first time anything has ever arrived this badly broken. Something as simple as a small foam sheet placed on top of the makeup I feel could have easily prevented this. Obviously this ruins the impression of the product.Even if it had arrived in perfect condition, I don’t think I would have liked it though. The makeup has a strong floral smell that I quite dislike, it reminds me of products made for children, the feel of the makeup (which I am thoroughly acquainted with, because I had to wash it all off my hands after opening) is weirdly greasy. The bronzer is a strange colour… it’s supposed to be darker to add a tanned, sun-kissed look, but this one is light pink. I have quite pale skin and even this wouldn’t work as a bronzer for me. Bronzer for vampires maybe?And with the price point (25.99 CAD) taken into consideration, overall these leaves an extremely negative impression.

Superlative palette with a couple caveats
There are so many things I loved about this makeup palette, starting with the cute cardboard packaging. While I’m not a huge fan of cosmetics in cardboard packaging, I am ok with it if it keeps the overall costs down. What I loved about this palette’s packaging is that the manufacturer included a few vital features:- a mirror – I think this is essential in these combination palettes- a magnetic closure — to keep the palette lid securely closed, so the pans don’t dry out- a plastic cover inside – also so the pans don’t dry out, and keeps powder off the mirrorThese are all must-haves in my opinion. This palette takes it a step further and actually has a FORMED plastic cover which really fits the individual pans and stays put, keeping the pans well protected and preserved.Let’s discuss the eyeshadow colors first. The shades themselves are absolutely gorgeous — my favorites being Mulberry, Roseate, Dusk, Mink and Lumen. I noted there is some fallout from the shadows. I also observed that for my initial swatches, the surface of the individual eyeshadow pans yielded incredible color initially, but as you swatch multiple times and work a bit deeper into the pans, the payoff tapers off into a more subtle application, which is quite frustrating. I will be using eyeshadow primer and potentially also makeup setting spray to try and overcome this, because when you get a good color payoff, the shades are really worth it.The Roman Holiday bronzer is a big disappointment – it is far too light to be classed as a bronzer – rather, it’s an extremely pale nude shade. I’m not even sure what else I can use it for…maybe a highlighter? The French Vanilla highlighter is completely matte, absolutely no sparkle to it, but — it does impart a radiant gentle “lit from within” glow when applied with a light hand as highlighter. I actually quite enjoy having a highlighter that is without sparkle or glitter for a change. The blush is a beautiful warm matte pink.Overall, while this palette is packed full of stunning shades, the disappearing intensity of the eyeshadows left me wanting….that and the lack of a real bronzer shade. Otherwise this is a superlative palette.

A Baked Palette That Actually Works With My Skin Tone
I really like this palette, and it earned that reaction fast because it does something a lot of palettes fail at.So many bronzers are way too dark for my skin tone, and so many blushes go way too dramatic once they hit the skin. This palette gives me proper coverage that looks natural and matches my skin tone rather than fighting against it. Finding a palette that respects lighter or more neutral skin tones is genuinely difficult, and I have gone through plenty that ended up unused because the shades just did not work.The eyeshadow range is really lovely. Ten shades in matte and shimmer finishes give me enough variety to create a proper daytime look and then transition to something more dramatic for evening without needing a second palette. Good coverage across the range, and the pigmentation is high without going into overpowering territory.I keep this palette in my laptop bag alongside a couple of makeup brushes, and I am good for the entire day. Whether I need a quick touch-up before a meeting, an evening reset before dinner out, or just something to get me looking pulled together after a long workday, this handles it all in one compact package.This has become part of my daily rig-ready setup rather than sitting on the vanity at home.
