Works well, no flakes, no smudge!
I am switching to all natural products. I know burt’s bees is not the *absolute cleanest* in terms of ingredients but this mascara is not as bad as some of their other products and is what I can currently afford. I previously tried a natural mineral makeup brand mascara carried by wholefoods, reccommended by the staff as not flaking (which is a common problem with natural formulas). It did, and at $17 too.It is difficult to find brown mascara anymore so I like that they offer it. It goes on really well, much better than the chemical-laden stuff like great lash. I don’t have to scrape the brush on the edge to get the extra off before applying with this at all. No product waste, bonus. Alot comes out on the brush but it is completely manageable with a light touch. The brush part is bendy so scraping it would be impossible to do. Not sure why, it is not positionable or anything, just springy-bendy. But it works well. Really better than anything else ever tried. With this mascara I can do one pass, no clumps whatsoever and then add a little to the ends for extra oomph if I want it. So you can do ‘enhanced natural’ or go dramatic with this. No flakes, no smudging after a long day. And the tube is big so will probably last. There are some other highly rated natural mascaras out there but for the prices you would think the stuff is gold. This is a great alternative.

I have tried over 50 mascara over the years ranging from drug store to high end. There are only about 5 mascaras I will repurchase. This is one of them.It gives a beautiful day time mascara look for my lashes. It separates and lengthens all while giving a natural and even coverage. It doesn’t even look like I’m wearing mascara. It really does look like I have naturally black and long lashes.It can built up to get a little bit a volume, but it’s not the best mascara for that if your looking to get a lot of volume. If I’m going out I layer a different mascara after putting a coat of this on. I do believe it has nourishing qualities – since using this mascara I have noticed A decrease in the amount of eyelashes that fall out.I took a star because if this gets in your eyes it stings. Be careful if you get your lashes wet.

Love this mascara, but be careful not to cry when you’re wearing it.
This is a great clean mascara for everyday use! Gives your eyes enough definition while maintaining a very natural look, which I LOOOOVE!!!It’s very easy to remove as well, which helps minimize lash loss.However, it’s definitely not cry-proof, so only wear it on happy days 😀

My new favorite
I’ve used great lash mascara for over 20 years since I was a teen, but recently I’ve become more aware of the chemicals I’m putting on and in my body and swore to myself that I’d find a safer alternative when my last bottle ran out. I did a lot of research and after some paralysis, finally decided to try this one. Happy to say that it is creamy and not clumpy. It doesn’t stay on as long as great lash, but it’s kind of disturbing to think about what was in great lash to make it lacquer to my face unless I scrubbed it off with soap. Love how this one just washes away with a little warm water. I feel much more at ease knowing this is what I’m putting close to my eyeballs almost every day. Next step is getting off mascara all together, but for now I’m loving this one.

Flakes, cakes and burns
When i first wore this mascara, I liked the coverage, you can build it up for a full look. I cried with it on and it burned my eyes. No one plans typically to cry, but I was surprised at how much it burned. I know it’s not waterproof, but I took note and continued to test it. Next I noticed it clumps on the wind, so I made an effort to pump the wand extra while applying, like mixing the formula. Ok, well I’ve never had to do that with others, but I’m still testing it. On two separate days I’m messing with my eyes because there is something in them, mascara. It’s flaking and falling off into my eyes. I got home from work last night and took off all makeup at 5 pm. My husband asked if I was ok. Yes, just my eyes hurting from makeup. So my test is over and I’m out. Not opening the second tube, it was a two pack purchase, so I’m just out and having to find something else.

Not irritating to eyes
Been using for years. It doesn’t flake into my eyes and cause irritation. Washes off easily enough.I do wish it came with a different brush, but that won’t stop me from using this product repeatedly.Have tried a few others along the way and threw them out to return to this non irritating formula.
