Makeup for a Summerween party
Recently we had a Summerween party to attend so I needed to go through my special effects makeup where I discovered my liquid latex had formed a rubber ball. Since it’s June, the fastest way to get it was Amazon, go figure. The only thing I didn’t like was the liquid latex was white, wish it was flesh colored. But that could be my fault for not paying close attention but it worked. I really like how the blood performed. Helped make the wounds look juicy.Giving this 4 stars because I haven’t used all of the kit yet, but I’m sure it will work.

TL;DR – great for all levels, not my first time doing sfx makeup, has all the tools you need to begin with.This is my first sfx kit, but not the first time I’ve done sfx makeup. It’s a pretty good starter kit for people who have not done sfx before, since it has most tools that you’d need. I do wish it had a few toothpicks to get better scar carve outs than what the blade can offer, but that’s my personal opinion. I’ve previously used liquid latex & ripped cotton pads for my scar makeup to make it look more straggly, but I needed some wax and more fake blood for my Halloween look this year. Might update this review with how that look turns out.You will need your own concealer to blend it into your skin, of course. I just tested this out with stuff I use on my face, which is obviously not the same shade as my hand (as seen in the video).It comes with instructions & I was following the instructions to test it out. The wax did dry out very quickly, though, and has started cracking within the 10-15 minutes since I did the makeup (see photos for reference/comparison). I don’t really mind it, though, as it gives it a more rugged/gory look, so it’s not all smooth, which I love. The grosser, the better, for me.

I am very impressed with this kit! It looks very realistic and easy to use. However, it takes a very long time to dry. That is my only complaint. I would definitely recommend this product!

Super fun! The makeup blends seamlessly and the scar max is super fun to work with. I have learned that with this particular scar wax, the best way to use it is to warm it in your hands to make it a bit more bendy, but once you do it works like a dream! I will be buying more again. 🙂

Great product
It was my first time using liquid latex and modeling wax, so I wasn’t even sure which product would be best and what brand to choose. This was a great choice! To apply wax proved to be little fiddly, but the end effect was very satisfying. Little tip: put a tiny amount of butter or cooking oil on your hand while rolling and softening wax in your hands -it is quite sticky. The colour cruise wheel is great – brilliant choice of shades and very good quality, blends very well and stays on the skin for a long time. Two types of fake blood are fantastic for finishing touches on the nakup, especially the coagulated blood gel works fantastic inside your wax scars. Would definitely buy it again. Would happily recommend.

Also eins muss ich ja mal sagen.Einfach nur wow.Ich hatte vor zwei Jahren nur Latex und blood besorgt von einem anderen Hersteller und ich war nicht ganz zufrieden. Es hat nicht lange gehalten und ist nach kurzer Zeit teilweise abgegangen.Doch dieses Kit hier ist der wahnsinn.Es hält bombenfest, selbst nach 5 std und totalem schwitzen vom tanzen. Ich bin total zufrieden. Es war sehr leicht aufzutragen und man konnte es schnell verarbeiten.So schnell habe ich noch keine wunden hinbekommen.Ich bin also mehr als zufrieden und werde es bei der nächsten Halloween Party auf jedenfall wieder besorgen.
