They weren’t kidding about the long lasting bitter taste.
I really wanted to like this product. It does a good job of moisturizing cuticles, and the applicator is easy to use and keep at hand. It is very portable. It is even nice to have it bitter tasting to prevent me from messing with hangnails that could hurt myself.The only problem is that the bitter-taste is TOO effective. I still couldn’t remove the bitter taste after several hand washings and 24-36 hour periods. I never realized how many snacks and finger-foods I eat until I had many of them ruined from acquiring the bitter taste of this product. So I guess its great so long as you don’t plan on touching *anything* you will put in your mouth.In my mind, a deterrent product is only as good as your control of when and how you are impacted by it. It would be great if it was easier to wash off when necessary. I may see if they have an alternative version, with all the moisturizing and not the taste, but in the meantime I’ll be taking a pass on using this again.

Works frustratingly well
I put it on my nails/cuticles in the morning and it works throughout the entire day. I knew I had a problem with biting my nails, but did not fully understand how often I was nibbling on my cuticles and nails subconsciously while studying. Now, anytime I subconsciously start biting my nails, I am immediately left with a disgusting flavor in my mouth that lasts almost an hour- definitely a deterrent.

If you want bitter, this is it!!
Well, if you want to keep your hands out of your mouth, this stuff does the job! It is bitter and FOUL! I think you will remember only after a time or two. The thick cream is very soft on your nails and cuticles. It does the job well and lasts a long time. The white cream absorbs in and becomes invisible.

Nail biter deterrent
I’m in my 40s and I’ve never had nails. I bought this because I heard it helps and it does indeed, but not in the way I thought.Quite simply, if you’re a nail biter the taste is unbearable. A few days was all it took to teach this old dog new tricks. Great product even if not in the way I expected.

Finally a nail biting solution after over a decade of frustration
First off I have to say this was kind of a “Hail Mary” purchase for us and I never expected to be writing a 5 star review for it. My teenager has had a pretty serious nail biting problem for as long as we can remember, and I felt like we’d pretty much tried everything. Similar products to apply foul-tasting liquids to the nails, home-made concoctions to rub on the nails to dissuade biting and chewing, listening to targeted daily mindfulness/meditation, you name it. So when I saw this product I figured why not, and if it didn’t work I figured I could just use it as a cuticle lotion pen. Well, it did work, and my son has acknowledged that it is the first thing that has made him feel like he has gotten his nail biting issue under control after all these years.The pen couldn’t be easier to use; you just twist it to get it going and brush a little of the solution on each nail. (Note: it did take a little longer than I might have expected to get the liquid flowing for the first time when twisting the bottom, just an FYI). It’s an oily but not terribly messy liquid that comes out as expected.Basically, the key to this product is that the taste is just absolutely horrific. (I know, because I accidentally got some in my mouth after I tried the product out myself) That seems beyond obvious, but somehow it just reaches a new level of punishment for your taste buds compared to every other similar product we’ve tried, and it’s the first time that level reached a point that actually dissuaded nail biting. Beyond that, the taste just does not go away or wash off. Like, for days. When I tried to scrub it off my fingers using every cleaning hack I could, it still lingered for at least two or three more days. And the same thing happened to the taste in my mouth — no matter what I did, there was still that hint of nasty bitterness for a good 24 hours, maybe even longer.At first I thought this seemed overpriced for what it is, but I’ve reversed course on that given the value it’s provided. Not only did it solve a huge problem for a small cost, it takes so little liquid on each nail to be effective that I think it will last for ages.

Awful taste lasts forever
Ordered this for a family member that wanted to stop biting at her flaking cuticles.Unfortunately (for me) when it arrived I thought it was a cuticle oil I’d Ordered for myself.Holy cow – this stuff tastes AWFUL. I applied it (thinking cuticle oil) then used a finger later on to apply lip gloss. Wow. I could still taste it hours later. It dried fast and clear. Not sure on moisturizing as I washed it off after getting that taste.Suspect the tube will last awhile as not much product is needed for each application. It goes on very thinly and you can’t see it once dried. No scent.Gave to family member with the taste warning – they said they have not used it but have it on the counter as a reminder to not bite there cuticles lol.So, if you need an awful tasting deterrent to nail/cuticle biting then this will work!Took a star off as there is nothing on the front cover to warn you

It really works
It really works. It tastes HORRIBLE. It went a full 24hrs without using it and I could still taste it. I definitely recommend it, it’s not oily after it dries, and it really stays on for a long time. No smell.

YALL LMAOOO, i barely i swear BARLEY tasted it just to see how it would taste and honey it’s like the most bitter lime metallic taste and it STICKS with you too.Be careful i put it all on my fingers and was making something to eat lowkey tasted it so try and be strict or be cautious/mindful of that stuff other than that 10/10 !!!! Just tasting it alone humbled me 😂
