I have been using the DuWop lip venom for a few years, so when I saw this product I had to have it. I thought that a primer/balm that was made to go with the original Venom sounded perfect.However I wasn’t super impressed, it’s consistency is like a normal chapstick,and it has a very muted version of the “tingle” effect of the original. Plus the original Venom works best when applied to bare lips and despite having the same name, it inhibits the Venom from working as well.But, on it’s own it’s a nice chapstick with a slight plumping effect so not a complete waste. Just don’t get your hopes up for something extraordinary.

I remember using the Lip Venom gloss when it first came out. I loved the scent and the plumping effect, but I’ve never been really fond of glosses (too sticky). I’m a big fan of the plumping balm because it is much lighter in terms of coating your lips, my lips feel conditioned not sticky. Still has the signature Lip Venom scent that I love. I wouldn’t expect an exaggerated plumping effect with this though, it’s more of a nice lip balm that gives a lil poof to your pout. This happened to be exactly what I was looking for, so I’ll probably buy another when this one runs out.

It tingled when I put it on but there wasn’t as big of a difference as I expected. It made my lips a nice pink though and was quite hydrating.

I love that this is a balm made for plumping but unfortunately for the price, it’s not that much product. It also has little to no affect on my lips. I feel slight tingling but again, it doesn’t help with volume at all, which is a shame I was really hopeful.

My only complaint is that I like this so much I wish it was bigger. It’s a bit pricey for the size it is. It feels great on the lips and has a good scent/texture.

Been using this daily since it launched in 2008 (yes really) and glad to have it on subscribe now. I love it as a primer in the morning before I put on my lipliner and lip makeup (can use any type of lip makeup over it -matte, satin, gloss). Also use it in place of lip balm at times when I want a natural lips look (no color, no shine, some moisture, some plumping). I can’t think of another product quite like it on the market , very unique. It doesn’t plump a ton but I like to think it helps (short term and long term) and it doesn’t burn or irritate at all. Sometimes you don’t want high gloss and fake color. And you can’t use a plumping gloss like the venom gloss and then try to put a regular or matte lip over it , but with this you can. It has that distinct DuWop Venom scent (I’m not sensitive to scents at all). One tube used daily still lasts a long time (like 6-12 mos for me) so it’s a good value. The packaging has been the same the whole time and while I like it for nostalgia and LOVE that it is extremely lightweight and slim (great for purse/travel), I will say the tube feels a bit “cheap” and sometimes the product inside gets kinda wonky/spun around in the tube. But the product is always usable and doesn’t dry out and the price point is great. The portability is perfect too. I have a tube on my makeup stand, in my purse and then in my travel makeup bag and I have it on subscription.
