GLASS SKIN STARTS HERE!!!
I love this FRECK serum; it’s like a fresh breath of sea air for my skin. It feels incredibly hydrating, with the same calming sensation as aloe after a long, sun-soaked day. There’s a beautiful botanical spa scent to it. It’s light, refreshing, and quietly luxurious without ever being overpowering. It’s lightweight and has a slight blurring effect. Great value for the money. This serum gives me that coveted glass-skin glow. My complexion looks soft, dewy, and lit from within. While I didn’t notice any gripping qualities (foundation can slide a little if I don’t let it absorb fully), it’s such a beautiful base layer. I find myself reaching for it, not just for how it preps my skin, but for how it makes me feel: calm, radiant, and ready. My skin looks lit from within and I feel the same way…

Sticky but also smooth primer that creates a great foundation for your foundation!
As a ginger, the name Freck immediately caught my attention as I have hundreds of freckles. I wasn’t familiar with the brand, but love that it’s a brand for the freckled– like me. 🙂 This is a really nice, sticky primer that adheres well to the face, moisturizes like a serum, and keeps makeup fresh all day! The sticky is more of a stringy sticky, so it goes on nicely and provides a smooth base while still grabbing the makeup. I love that it’s a 2-in-1– hydration is such an important part of having the makeup lay nicely! It does a good job of keeping my makeup in place throughout the day.

Luxurious and GRIPPY!
This is absolutely appropriately named as a “gripping printer”. The primer is smooth and liquidy like a lotion but also seems to want to stay together almost like pouring out warmed icing the way it gets all drippy and sticks. Once applied, skin has some grip and tackiness to hold makeup. Im not sure if this description is doing the product justice, because it truly does feel nice and luxurious. It definitely enhances longevity of makeup, and you dont need to use much. I would recommend!

Hydrating, and Thick
This hydrating primer is a luxe, skincare-meets-makeup hybrid that feels tailored for anyone who loves a hydrated, glowing base. The texture starts off like a light cream and melts into a silky, oil-like finish that makes skin feel instantly soft and nourished. Packed with prickly pear seed oil, Japanese camellia oil, yam root extract, and squalane, it delivers deep moisture and a smooth canvas for foundation. This would likely enhance that fresh, dewy look you lean toward, especially if you enjoy skin that looks healthy and luminous rather than matte. It pairs beautifully with hydrating or luminous foundations, helping them blend seamlessly and grip just enough to stay put through the day. However, since the formula leans rich, it might feel a bit heavy or too glossy on oilier skin types, and it can cause makeup to slip if layered too thick or paired with a matte foundation. The subtle fragrance adds a spa-like feel, though it’s worth noting for sensitive skin. Overall, it’s a great primer-serum if you want your base to feel as nourishing as your skincare, ideal for dry or normal skin, long days, or when you want that effortless, radiant finish that still feels luxurious. It’s the perfect size to throw in the handbag to travel with, and lasts a long time. It’s a good value for a nice product.

Hydrating But Not Priming
Feels awesome on my skin but doesn’t add longevity to makeup at all. My nose makeup is gone by mid morning.

Perfect under makeup and hydrating all day!
I absolutely love the texture of this serum! It feels so nice going on and absorbs beautifully into my skin. What I love most is how it completely disappears under makeup—no pilling, heaviness, or greasy feeling—but somehow still keeps my skin feeling hydrated all day. My makeup layers over it perfectly, and my skin stays comfortable and moisturized for hours. This has quickly become one of my favorite products to use before makeup!

Different, hydrating but not long-wearing
This primer is different from others I’ve tried. It claims to protect, hydrate, and rejuvenate, and to create “a smooth canvas for all day makeup wear.” I think it does a pretty good job with the first three claims, and a so-so job with the fourth claim.I almost didn’t want to use this when I saw the consistency coming out of the pump. It actually is exactly as shown in the second photo – kind of stringy and sticky at the same time, and really kind of unappealing. However, it does feel nice once it’s on your skin, and it does feel protective on dry skin. It also makes your makeup look dewy. The down side is that it doesn’t seem to completely dry down and at least for me, it did not last as long as other primers I’ve tried. Even with setting powder, there seemed to be an ingredient that broke down my tubing mascara and caused it to smudge all over my brow bone by mid-morning, which has never happened to me before – everywhere the lashes touched my browbone, the mascara actually melted onto my skin. I also had some bare spots in my foundation by the end of the day, where my primer normally would grip the foundation to the skin.I would say that this is a good primer if you have dry skin, and wear minimal makeup. It did not seem to make my makeup last longer and actually made matters worse with my mascara, but it was more hydrating and protective than other primers I’ve tried.
