Like most of you, I am pretty selective about the items I choose to purchase. I take the time to look at many things before finally choosing something. No one needs another useless purchase and no one has the time to return something; so, I hope this review can help you.Jung Saem Mool is arguably one of the most famous makeup artists in South Korea. She has a long standing career in her industry having done makeup on famous actresses and musical artists over the years. She’s been highlighted on tv shows and magazines. Upon her success as a makeup artist, she unveiled her own makeup academy and launched a highly coveted and sought after line of foundation and makeup products. Her cushion foundation consistently wins awards as the most loved foundation by people in the country.Why am I mentioning all of this? Because the woman knows what she’s doing. She’s known for her “transparent makeup” look which enhances your natural skin. A lot of this look can be attributed to a product that she once said “changed her life” – the essential mool cream.This cream helps serve as a great first step before you start your foundation base. It’s a deeply hydrating cream that helps create a dewy makeup base; but, it also serves as a primer, in that it allows foundation to adhere better to the skin so that it lasts longer resulting in a glass-like, dewy flawless face.I’ve been testing this product out for a few weeks and I haven’t had any breakouts. It feels luxurious on my skin and has a really nice, light pleasant scent. I don’t wait for it to dry down before I apply my makeup and I feel like my makeup base does stay longer without fading throughout the day. Hydrated, Perfect for Combination & Mature Skin
I have mature combination skin, and I really like everything about this cream. My skin is constantly shifting between oily, dehydrated, and easily reacts when weather changes, and this cream handles all of it beautifully.This cream applies smoothly and immediately makes my skin feel more balanced, not coated. It absorbs very well, leaving a soft hydrated finish rather than a heavy layer. What I noticed most is that the formula doesn’t sit on top of my skin or feel like it’s fighting with my skin’s natural oil production, it just evens everything out.Under makeup, it performs even better, it smooths out dry texture around my chin, jawline, and the flaky skin around my nose. It really helps foundation apply more easily instead of catching or clinging the way it does over many other moisturizers I’ve tried. I also love how it keeps my makeup from looking flat or too oily throughout the day.I used to be strictly a matte finish foundation girl, but as my skin has matured, I’ve learned to switch between matte and dewy depending on the weather and what my skin needs. The consistency of this cream is surprisingly well controlled for my skin type. This does exactly what a hydration base should do. Absorbs quickly, keeps skin feeling moisturized throughout the day, and doesn’t leave a greasy layer behind. If you’ve dealt with creams that sit on top of your skin and make everything slide around, this isn’t that. It sinks in and lets whatever you put on top of it sit properly.The texture is light and spreads easily without needing much product per application. A small amount covers the full face, which helps stretch the tube further than you’d expect from the size.At roughly $15 per ounce the price is steep, even by Korean skincare standards. The tube is $30 and while a little goes a long way, it’s still a lot to spend on a moisturizer when there are solid options at half the cost. The formula delivers, but your budget has to be comfortable with the premium. Recommended if you’re willing to pay for a clean hydration layer that stays out of the way.

Amazing under makeup or as part of my normal skincare routine
This cream is fantastic under makeup as part of my skin prep or as part of my regular skincare routine — it goes on so smoothly and feels lightweight on my skin yet deeply hydrates down to the lowest layers, clarifies my pores and texture, supports my moisture barrier, repairs and restores damaged or stressed skin, helps minimize fine lines and impede the signs of aging skin, evens my skintone/lightens hyperpigmentation, and gives my skin a beautiful lit-from-within glow. This cream also keeps my skin hydrated and protected all day long and helps my makeup last longer and look good all day. It doesn’t irritate my skin, clog my pores, or leave any sort of greasy/sticky residue or make my face feel tight or stiff — it doesn’t feel like anything at all, but I can tell it’s there because my skin is moisturized and feels refreshed and happy (I have dry skin and have to have some sort of skincare on at all times to keep my face from getting dehydrated and stressed). It’s also great under makeup because it helps the makeup go on smoother, not settle into fine lines/texture/pores, and supports a dewy finish and a healthy glow, and protects my skin from the elements. This moisturizer is on the pricy side, but is definitely worth the money. Jungsaemmool is one of my favorite makeup and skincare brands, and the artist behind the brand is very inspiring to me, she’s so talented and creates such beautiful looks (with such an emphasis on beautiful skin… good skincare and skin prep is one of the most important steps to having good makeup and that’s something people seriously neglect here in the US). You can tell all of these products were developed by a working MUA since they all perform to such a high standard. I highly recommend this cream!

Beyond impressed at this product
I am incredibly impressed at this mool gyeol cream from JUNG SAEM MOOL. This is a cream that has soothing properties and works well to smooth out rough texture, making it ideal for morning and nighttime daily routines. It incorporates Mool Peptide which is a proprietary complex of various peptides along with hyaluronic acid, making it an excellent cream to uphold the moisture barrier and rejuvenate the skin. It also contains sunflower seed oil and jeju volcanic sea water to ensure the skin barrier is maintained with a glow. It’s so soothing and gentle that I would honestly have thought this was straight up a barrier cream even though it’s not advertised as one. Impressive as expected from Jung Saem Mool, a world renowned Korean makeup brand that constantly innovates and re-contextualizes makeup and skincare altogether in one.Overall it’s a great product and I would recommend if you like this brand.

I have dry skin and am always looking for new moisturizers. K beauty products are always a step ahead the US, and this is no exception. The peptide and hylaronic acid moisturizer enhances my skin without weighing it down with heavy oils and causing irritation. It goes on well under makeup, and the tube contains a lot of product. It can also be used as a night cream. This is an excellent moisturizer for people with sensitive, dry, acne prone skin at an affordable price.
