Weak color pay off.
I’m a bit disappointed with this eyeshadow. I found the color payoff to be very weak. Even though I used an eyeshadow primer it doesn’t seem to stick well to my eyelids. I even tried to use the tip of my finger to apply the color and it didn’t help much. The packaging is nice looking, but I’d take simple packaging with great eyeshadow in it over pretty packaging with subpar shadow in it. I just don’t think the quality is there. There are small eyeshadow palettes at the drugstore for around the same price that far exceed the quality of this single shadow. It’s unfortunate because what I could apply of this shadow was a nice color. But it’s just so weak and frustrating to use. I’d pass on this one.

This makeup shows up darker than I would have preferred; it appears much darker when on my skin than when in the container. There’s just a little bit of makeup in the small container. But that’s fine because it doesn’t cost a lot. It’s not the most stay-put color I’ve used. I’d recommend a setting spray.

Beautiful packaging, but sub par product
I ordered this in the purple because I use a lot of purple eyeshadows and this looked like a really nice shade to add to my collection.When this eyeshadow came in, I was initially really impressed- the eyeshadow is well packaged. The eyeshadow is actually a bit hard to get out of the little package, but I was able to wiggle it out eventually. The container for this eyeshadow is beautiful- it feels really nice and sturdy and looks very high quality with it’s reflective top. Unfortunately, that is where the good ends with this.When I opened the eyeshadow, I was impressed by how nice the purple looked. It was very shimmery, but also a really nice shade of purple. I put eyeshadow primer on (like I always do), and then decided to try and use this eyeshadow. When I used my eyeshadow brush to try and get some product, my brush just glided over the top of the product and didn’t pick up any sort of color. I had to go over the eyeshadow a bunch of times to even get some of it onto my brush, and then once I put it on my eye, I needed at least 6 shades of this eyeshadow in order to see it- that is WITH eyeshadow primer on which normally makes colors more vivid and vibrant. I would also say that the eyeshadow didn’t look purple, but more like grey once it was actually on my face.I was not able to test if it was waterproof, but it came off easily with my Korean oil cleanser, so it’s definitely easy to take off. I didn’t notice any smudging, but that’s probably because it took so much of this product to even show up. At the time of this review, this is $6, but honestly I don’t think its worth it- I would not repurchase this and I have gotten better quality eyeshadow from the dollar store. The dollar store eyeshadow might have had terrible cheap and plastic packaging, but at least the product itself actually works and shows up the color it is supposed to be. I was really hoping that this would be a bold color that I could use to dress up when I need to, but I don’t think I’ll be using the rest of this since I don’t want to have to apply 6-8 layers of eyeshadow every time. I included a picture of myself wearing it so that you could see what the actual color looks like.

Unsafe, found a tiny wire in the eye shadow
Hello friends, I selected this kapeine purple glitter eyeshadow for eyes.I was excited to get this little pot of glittery purple eyeshadow until I swatched it. A small piece of wire was in the swatch!!! You can actually see it sticking out from the initial photograph I took of the product. I took a close-up picture of the wire for this review. Had I applied this directly to my eye I might have cut my eye lid or eye. Do NOT buy this product. It is unsafe. Zero Stars.
