Soft, Lightweight Formula, But Not Particularly Long-Lasting
I’m a new user of Laura Geller products, and I’m rapidly becoming a fan. I’ve tried the baked foundation and, to be honest, found it to be a bit too lightweight to give me the coverage I need. These colors, however, are very soft and buildable, and can be applied lightly for a more natural look or more heavily for a bolder look. The powder is quite soft, so only a very light touch is needed with a brush.The palette has a good range of colors, from soft mattes to the “Whimsical” gold, which is whimsical indeed, especially if applied more heavily for dramatic effect.My only reason for four instead of five stars is that the product does not last long on the skin. On one hand, I appreciate the blendability of the colors and the lightweight feel, but I did find that the blush wore off more quickly than I’d have liked, especially since I wasn’t in a position to reapply.Still, this a very good product sampler for the price.

Uninspired and depressing.
I generally like the quality of Laura Gellar’s products, so happily snapped up this palette when I saw it for only $14. I ended up returning it, however, because the colors were just…blah. At 54, I’m making an effort to adapt my makeup to flatter my more mature features, and turning to more subdued colors and shades; but it feels like whoever put this palette together was just depressed, and working on a rainy Monday. Even though it’s considered to be a brand that appeals to more mature women, dull, desaturated, and washed-out shades are not what I’ve come to expect from Laura Gellar. I was looking for a neutral-adjacent palette, but this one looks far brighter and livelier in the photos than it does in person. Disappointed.

Lovely colours, coverage and value.
Was looking for an autumn-toned eye shadow palette with a variety of colours. I had used a Laura Geller blush years ago and was impressed with the quality and size of the product for the price. Have not tried all of the colours yet, but with those that I have tried, I’m very pleased with the range of shades, the colour pay-off is good and shadows are blendable. The shadows are a mix of matte and sheen. I would have given this five stars if it were all matte shades. However, that’s my preference. The non-matte shadows are not very sparkly at all – more of a sheen, I would say. Would purchase another like this in other shades in the future.

Great pallet, with lasting, beautiful colors
I am a big Laura Geller fan and this pallet didn’t disappoint! All the colors are super pretty and perfect for going into the fall/winter seasons. Color payoff is superb, as a little bit goes a long way! This product was on sale when I got it, but when it runs out I will not hesitate to reorder.Also, my 13 year old loves this eyeshadow/blush/highlighter pallet too, which is a huge bonus! She has been dabbling in makeup recently and has her own products, but she seems to like the natural looking blush and highlighter better than her own…I may be ordering 1 for her birthday!This works great with our pale skintone.

Long Lasting Eyeshadows
I recently purchased Laura’s Essentials face palate, and this was my first order from Laura Geller. I am very pleased with these pressed eyeshadows. The colors provide strong pigment, so with one sweep of color on my eyelid, there is no need to apply more. I appreciate that the shades are rich, blendable neutral and earth tones that do not crease or vanish throughout the day. The longevity is impressive, as the shadow lasts until I remove it at night. I do like the highlighter, and must be careful with the blush as it is too dark on my fair skin if I sweep on too much and do not blend it in. The powders are light and adhere to the skin easily.I also like the sturdy cardboard case, the included mirror, and the magnetic closure. However, I do find the shape of the palette somewhat inconvenient. Because it is over 9″ long, it does not fit in any of my makeup bags, which makes it difficult to take with me when traveling.Overall, I am very happy with the quality of the collection.
