My Wife Is Very Happy With The Results From This Mirabella Face Primer…
My wife, which has been trying to slow down her skin’s aging process ever since she left her 40’s behind, asked me to order this Mirabella Face Primer with SPF–30 to replace her Revlon and L’Oreal primers based on the key benefits as described on Amazon’s Mirabella product page. She was all for a Primer like Mirabella that also contains an effective chemical sunscreen (the chemical type is more water and sweat resistant) based on Mirabella’s list of ingredients in place of a Mineral based sunscreen which could possibly leave a white cast on her skin. Since we’re both getting up in years she was more focused on the Anti-aging properties from the Watermelon and Rosemary Extracts along with the Vitamin E and Hyaluronic Acid. The Watermelon contains antioxidants that help protect skin from environmental stressors and signs of aging while the Rosemary contains Carnosic acid along with iron, calcium, and vitamin B6 so all of these help to fight off the signs of aging. Also it doesn’t hurt that the inclusion of Aloe Vera acts with a tightening effect on the skin as well. Their “HA” or Hyaluronic Acid helps skin stretch and flex, which can reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines plus it supports the skin’s natural collagen and elastin levels. While I’m trying to provide some data as to why Mirabella works so well my wife on the other hand could care less about how their combination of ingredients come together to work so well, she’s more results orientated and she is impressed with the end results of this Mirabella Primer. She considers the applicator to be a plus in applying it to her face which none of her other name brand products ever possessed and it’s doesn’t feel sticky like some of her other primers. She also likes what Mirabella describes as a Dewy look meaning it gives her skin what I would describe as a very soft reflective glow on her skin which in the end equates to her in providing a more youthful and healthy looking skin! You know the old saying: “Happy Wife, Happy Life”!

Good sunscreen
Overall, it’s a pretty solid sunscreen, the roller is quite unique and makes application easy, but still easiest to smooth out with hands after the fact. It’s a little on the oily side to be used as a primer, and the oils do not absorb super quickly (compared to something like Neutrogena facial sunscreen). The brand is a well known luxury cosmetic brand, and it’s a good product overall, although as a primer there should be more options for differing facial types. But again, as a sunscreen, it’s nice application, leaves oil but isn’t overly greasy, and has a nice, very very subtle hint of perfume type of scent to it, fortunately does not smell like you just applied sunscreen, in fact one of the better scents I’ve seen in a facial sunscreen.

Fantastic! Do it All Product!
This is a great moisturizer, primer and SPF- especially during this time of year, where my skin is dryer than normal and winter is wrecking havoc on me! I tend to have issue with most cream SPF’s, and they sting and cause my eyes to water. Not so with this one! It does not sting or irritate my skin at all. It’s not super thick, but somehow it is able to moisturize my face almost perfectly. I don’t feel greasy, but I just feel moisturized. I tend to have oilier skin, so that’s pretty remarkable! This really does do a great job as a primer, too, and my makeup just sits really nicely over top of it, and my foundation is not drawing attention to texture thanks to it! Also, I love the little roller applicator, it just feels like an extra treat when I use it. I still have to use my fingers to spread it around, but it feels nice when you apply it!

Overall, this is a good sunscreen. I liked the innovative applicator, and it feels moisturizing.However, I dislike that a full list of ingredients wasn’t provided in the description, and it’s not until I reviewed the box that I found out about some concerning ingredients. If I had read that prior to ordering I would not have ordered. While most ingredients are considered safe both by US and EU standards, I do have some potencial concerns:Homosalate: While currently allowed in the EU, it’s under review due to potential endocrine-disrupting properties. The EU is considering lowering its maximum concentration to 10% (which is exactly what this product contains)…Environmental Impact:-Chemical sunscreens like avobenzone and homosalate can affect marine life-Not considered “reef-safe” by most standards-If you’re swimming in coral reef areas, a mineral sunscreen might be betterTetrasodium EDTA: While safe for use, it’s not readily biodegradable…

Better for normal to dry skin
I have normal to oily complexion so the Mirabella Face Primer with SPF was too dewy and greasy in my experience. I applied it after toner (Kikumasamune) and vitamin c (timeless) and the result was too dewy, and even after applying matte primer, the makeup broke down faster and I looked very shiny throughout the day.

Hydrating formula with an innovative applicator!
I like so much about this SPF primer. For one, I love the fact that it’s a sunscreen that’s also hydrating and meant to work well under makeup. The hyleraunic acid means my face actually holds moisture with this, not lose it as it tends to do with many of my mineral sunscreens. Additionally, I think the applicator is awesome. I love not having to get my hands messy, and it feels so nice going on! I think the value is solid for the size of the bottle, as well.I do share another reviewer’s concerns about this being reef safe after looking into some of the ingredients, which is why I’d give it a 4/5. However, as a sunscreen for non-swimming or pool days, I feel good about using this.
