Upscale quality for a drug store budget
I’m a huge fan of the No7 brand in general, so I was happy to see that they have a makeup primer with SPF. As someone with fair skin, protection from the sun is very important to me and I often wonder how you really know if a product has what it says it does in it. With No7, that’s not even a concern for me. I also appreciate that while other brands have only 30-40 SPF, this one has 50 SPF.The primer itself is what, but goes on clear with a consistency of something in between a cream and a liquid. Think school glue (that’s not a knock, it’s just a comparison). It is not sticky and goes on easily without clotting.Compared to other quality brands, this one is a bargain. You’d easily pay almost twice as much for the same sized product. It’s great for your skin and your pocketbook!

I am actually very impressed with this product! I love this brand and wish I had discovered this item sooner!I have tried several SPF facial products and always find that they are too sticky, cause breakouts, or just don’t sit well under makeup for me, but I have been giving this primer/sunscreen a try over the past week and have truly loved it.Not only is it not sticky, but it is lightweight while still being moisturizing so it gives your skin such a nice glow which makes it SUCH a great skin-prep product for under makeup.I have worn this by itself with just my day-to-day skincare and I’ve worn it under my makeup and it looks fantastic both ways. I really, really love that this is a two-in-one product and so far, I haven’t noticed any breakouts or irritation and my skin is on the sensitive side, so I would consider this acne safe in my book.When I did wear this under my makeup, I definitely felt like my makeup stayed on very well and lasted throughout the day so I would also say that in terms of makeup primer that this works very well.I have already told a few friends about this product and would highly suggest giving it a try!

Love this SPF 50 sunscreen & makeup primer. I am a big fan of No7 products. I have sensitive skin & I burn easily (fair skinned redhead) & I like having a lightweight sunscreen on but don’t like oily products or thick heavy products that clog up my pores. This is light & feels more gel based, thought it still looks like a cream, which I love. It is scented which is a plus. It does have a very faint sunscreen scent that all sunscreens have. It’s not string at all though. Not a fan of overly floral scented products, so finding something that works well AND doesn’t give me a headache from the scent is a big win for me. A bit too glowy and not hydrating enough
I’m a bit torn about this primer-sunscreen. I’m not a fan of skincare or makeup with sunscreen. I’d rather apply a separate layer of sun protection, so I can control how much I’m using without worrying about whether or not I’m wearing too much foundation, serum, moisturizer, or in this case, primer. Or end up wearing too little sunscreen.The instructions call for a dime size amount, but at this point, most of us know about the two finger lengths measuring trick. Dime size is way less than two fingers worth. I went ahead with two fingers worth.The good thing is that this primer-sunscreen does not have a white cast, at least not on me. It’s a chemical, not mineral sunscreen, so I wasn’t expecting much of a cast. But full disclosure, I’m fairly pale. Rarely do I get a cast from sunscreen. The product is easy to apply. It isn’t too thick nor sticky. But it leaves a very glowy finish. I waited 15 minutes before I started my makeup, but it did not sink in, didn’t dry down. It just sat on top of my skin, looking glowy.As a primer, I’d say it’s fairly effective. It’s summer where I live, and my makeup stayed fresh most of the day. But it’s nowhere as hydrating as it claims to be. Even with the glowy finish, my skin started to feel a bit parched a few hours into my day. To be fair, I have dry skin to begin with, but I was hoping this primer would remedy that.Overall, this is not for me. I’d rather have a separate primer and separate sunscreen. This No7 primer-sunscreen comes in a box sealed with a sticker, and the tube has a foil seal under the cap. The product is made in Australia.

No white cast and silky smooth skin!
Upon applying, this product feels cool and silky smooth. The white color dissipates quickly. You are left with a very slight sunscreen smell. I am very sensitive to smells and I could only smell it when getting up very very close. You can definitely feel the primer on your skin, but it is so light and soft. It’s not sticky at all. This is a very smooth base for makeup and would be an amazing face sunscreen without makeup. I’m very happy with this product and of course the name brand is very well known and praised.
