I expected much better from this product than what arrived. It had the consistency of lip balm on top when I ran my finger through the product. I kept rubbing my finger into it hoping it would change into come sort of cream to powder formula. However it just felt like pressing into play dough. I did eventually get some white stuff to appear but when I rubbed it into my skin it did absolutely nothing. I do not understand what this product is or how it is intended to be used. What is this??
“Jelly” setting powder sounds ideal for more mature skin as true powder emphasizes lines and dryness. Unfortunately, I can’t figure out what this is or how to use it or what the intent is. Clearly with the other reviews there needs to be videos about it and whatnot. It’s a good price IF you can figure out how to use it, which is the only reason I felt too bad to give it a single star…because maybe it isn’t me (or the other reviewers before me)??

Great Foundation
This pressed powder compact conceals skin imperfections beautifully with looking cakey or too heavy. It’s light and translucent and provides an excellent foundation for blush or bronzer. Definitely recommended.

I’d heard about jelly powder in Asian beauty circles but this was my first chance to give it a try, and I’m impressed! Yes, this looks different than the dry setting powder most Americans are used to. The jelly powder is textured more like a balm. The company could have done two things to really make the experience top notch (and thus the loss if one star): provided some education/information, and provided an applicator. I used a firm-bristled brush to apply it to my forehead as you can see in the before (bottom) and after (top) in my photos. There are no filters or camera tricks of any type going on. I tried my best to take the photo at the exact same angle in the exact same light (they were only taken seconds apart), but I’m human so it’s not perfect. And I thought for sure my camera wasn’t focusing correctly, so I took the photo a few times and yep…. That’s really how soft-focus this powder is! After trying my firmer foundation brush I used a fluffy powder brush on the rest of my face without issue. It doesn’t seem like the balm will do well with a brush, but it did! It went on really easily and I was surprised at how cool it felt. My skin has felt slightly tacky all day (not sticky!), but I’m now going on hour 8 (!) and I don’t really need a touch up! And that includes a major house cleaning and hosting a party for teenagers, so I was definitely sweating! Wow. It’s different lighting now but I’ve included a photo of my forehead as I’m sitting here after all the party clean up.
