Lovely pot of sweet powder suitable for a range of skin tones
Great price for this and high quality as revolution does appear to be able to keep costs down yet have good make up. As a powder it’s super cute and you can adapt the shade with blending. It would be easier with a slightly wider pot for a better selection of brushes but powder is soft and silky on skin and leaves a nice shine free finish. It’s very feminine and a decent powder giving a warmer tint than just a plain beige or matte style face powder.Really happy with it and a nice addition to my make up bag!

Lovely Setting Powder
Really pleased with this loose powder. It feels lightweight on the skin and helps set my makeup nicely without looking heavy or cakey.The fair to medium shade works well for brightening the complexion, and I like that it gives a soft, smooth finish while keeping everything looking fresh.Overall, a lovely everyday setting powder that’s easy to use and great value.

It’s let down by the container
I really like the powder itself. I tend to prefer the yellow/banana side on my skin, and it does a really good job of setting my makeup and taking away shine without looking overly heavy.I like the idea of having two shades, although realistically I think most people will probably favour one side depending on whether their skin leans more pink or yellow in tone, rather than using both equally.The packaging is where it loses points for me personally. Under the main lid, each powder has its own little plastic flap over the holes. It’s not particularly easy to get the amount of powder you want out, so I tend to either tip some towards my brush or into the main lid. If you use the lid, getting any excess powder neatly back into the correct compartment is a bit fiddly and you then need to use your brush to them clear the residue out of the lid.I’ve also had the whole inner flap section come away when taking the main lid off, leaving both powders completely open underneath. Thankfully I caught it, but I wouldn’t want that happening inside my makeup bag!The powder itself is really good, especially for the price, and I like the finish it gives. I just think the container could have been designed a little better.

Excellent value colour correcting powder to reduce shine and soften skin texture (visually obvs)
Picture the scene. I’m a person with fair skin who looks truly appalling in yellow with a handful of yellow and pink face powder in her hand. I have… for reasons… been testing out SPF which is very good, but weirdly refuses to absorb after at least five minutes. I am makeup free and wanted to look slightly more human. This is the very situation this powder was designed for.Being of a scientific persuasion I applied the lot to one side of my face to see whether or not the powder would indeed brighten, blur, control shine and avoid cakiness.Actually, it kind of did. My SPF shine was controlled. My skin was not cakey. My skin still looked like skin, pores and all, but looked a bit more even and softer. I did not look chalky, I did not look like I’d just been mugged by either a rose or a banana, despite having just applied quite a lot of powder. I didn’t feel moved to apply full foundation. Having seen the before version, I thought this was good. Hurrah for silicones.Would I buy this again? Honestly I don’t think I’ll need to for ages, but for what it is worth I do think, based on the ingredient list, this is remarkable value for money.
