This is a surfacer with primer (base filling paint). The material used in Surfacer 1000, which is gaining overwhelming popularity for plastic models has been improved for this product. Surface attachment has been enhanced not only for plastic models but also for metal in etched parts and resin. Spray type and bottle type are available. Color is gray.

Super thin and lacks coverage.
Not a fan of this primer, it’s super thin. While airbrushing it’s impossible to get good coverage because it’s partly transparent so you use way too much of it. On a plus I did not have any paint lift while masking on resin gundam kits. I prefer to use regular mr surfacer, covers way better.

An ideal primer for resin!
I generally use Mr. Surfacer for my Bandai kits but was having trouble with adhesion on resin. Based on the recommendations of other builders, I switched to Mr. Surfacer Primer 1000. This stuff is rock solid and my paint jobs are much more durable. Thin 1:1.5 with Mr. Leveling Thinner.

This is really good primer
It’s fairly thin lacquer thinner and only needs added thinning of maybe 30% thinner. It then covers well and comes out satin smooth when airbrushed. I gave 4 stars because you can get it for less money but I get it here along with Mr Leveling Thinner for convenience sake and fairly fast delivery. Nobody locally sells this primer.

Boards broke easily.
Two blades broke easily. I don’t use tit often. Lists of blades
