This make-up set would make for a great gift or to ask your friends/family to be a part of your wedding. It is cute and has the essentials in easy-to-love colors. The eyeshadow applies easily, and the lip colors are nice, too.I appreciate how a portion of the profit goes towards a good cause- not something we see enough of in the world nowadays. That makes it feel better to purchase from this business over others. However, I still feel that it is a bit expensive for the quality received. For the current price of $44, the set is in plastic and does not have a very premium feel to it. The pigments are nice, but might not be the perfect shades for everyone – which is fine – but having more options for a bridesmaid set would be nice.

Not just for bridesmaids!
Let’s face it – even if a makeup set says it’s made for X event, it doesn’t mean that you can’t use it elsewhere. And I think that is represented really well here. While the different colors do seem wedding-related, especially the names mind you, they can fit in a myriad of places and events. I know the Maid of Honor, a burnished gold with some pinkish mixed in, looks great in any setting – even if it’s just going out for dinner.The Eyeshadow looks great and holds well, as does the lipstick – which doesn’t transfer to any glassware or even on the napkins that may be used after eating. The lip gloss is nice, if a bit “look at me”, but if you want your lipgloss “popping” then this is the way to go.

Great pallette for green or hazel eyes
This is a very neutral pallette so it will probably look good on most if not everyone. Don’t let that bright pink gloss fool you, it only deposits a small amount of color and is not over the top. The shadow pallet is very warm earth tones with the dark brown having an ever so slight burgundy hue. Just enough to make eye color pop. Again, my guess is this subtle hint of color will probably be good at accentuating a lot of tones and eye color. Honestly, that does make it a good bulk gift to delight a group of people who will have different tones. If that was intentional by Shades by Shan, kudos to them! Well done.The shadow is a good texture and does not appear to be crease-prone. It blends well too. The matte nude and gloss will hold up to a few hours of talking but not drinking, dining and a full day of work. That is not surprising. Few do. I will probably use the nude as an accent color under my long lasting lipstick and it will a perfect base for that. The gloss is a good shade to toss in the purse for last minute touch ups and to add a hint of perky pink.Back to this being for bridesmaid gifts: the box and items all have rose gold accents which is a lovely touch. The pallette being marked as “limited edition” makes it feel special. And makes me sad because I do like this palette. The lipstick is thematic to a wedding with the heart decal and the name of all of the shades isn’t very descriptive to the actual color but it is charming and quirky nonetheless. The lipstick container feels high quality and appears to have a magnetic closure, giving a satisfying click when shutting it. I must buy primarily cheap lipstick because I have never run across that before. Now I love it.

Stunning Set but not for me
This is perfect for anyone looking for special occasion palette. This includes a eyeshadow palette and lip gloss. I was able to layer the lip gloss over another and work with it. There was only 1 color I would use, as the others did not match. They are pigmented, but would recommend an eyeshadow base first. Overall not for me, but for anyone not wanting a large compact to carry around could use this.

This is a great idea as a gift for your bridesmaid. It’s something she can use for the day but then also have to use afterwards. The quality of the shadows are really good. They are very pigmented, apply evenly and the shimmer is beautiful. The lipstick has a magnetic closure to it and looks very expensive. The color would look great on so many different people because it’s a perfect nude. The lipgloss isn’t overly sticky and is just a tint of color. It won’t make it through eating and drinking but you can keep it close to reapply as needed. This would work for someone who just wants a quick and easy look and not sure of what shades to use. It takes all of the thinking out of it and makes it easy.

This is a cute kit to pass out to your bridesmaids. It includes an eye shadow compact with the writing, “Will you be my Bridesmaid?” on the mirror, a neutral lipstick, and a pink lip gloss. The makeup palette is neutral and should look good on most skin tones, so I think it would be appreciated. I posted a pic of the ingredients, as I think that’s important for most people, and they were not listed in the items’ description. It’s made in China, so that might figure into your decision, too. They say that they donate to a 501c3 charity with each purchase, and I love when companies give back, so that is a plus. Overall, this is a nice makeup kit. I’m keeping mine for myself, as it is great for travel with the compact nature of the eye shadows and the neutral variety of colors.
