This package contains a jar each of light and dark product, an empty jar, some tiny applicators, and a flat spoon for mixing the colors together. It has the consistency of thick cake frosting or drywall paste but smooths on easily once your body heat starts to melt it a little.I don’t have tattoos, but I do have a rather large, very dark birthmark on my leg that I have always been self-conscious about. I wish I had this stuff when I was growing up, because I spent most of my early life wearing pants or dark tights so no one would notice my birthmark.It took awhile to mix the exact right color for my skin (and I felt like a scientist creating a new substance in the lab), but the result was well worth it. I had to use quite a bit of the concealer to cover my birthmark, as it is very dark and has a pebbly texture, but it did the job and did it well. Once I blended the edges into the surrounding area, it looked practically natural. The concealer does stay somewhat moist (sorry about that word; it’s the best way to describe it), so I would recommend applying some loose face powder to help set it.

Finding the right shade with this tattoo concealer set takes some patience since you have to mix the two tones yourself. The texture is quite thick which helps with coverage but it requires a lot of blending to avoid looking cakey on the skin. I notice that setting it with a translucent powder helps keep it from rubbing off onto clothing.The waterproof claim holds up reasonably well against sweat during a normal day. It manages to fade dark ink significantly although a faint shadow still peeks through if the tattoo has heavy black lines. Applying it in thin layers works much better than putting on one thick coat.The included mixing tools are helpful to get the right ratio of the two shades. Clean up is a bit messy because the product is so resistant to water so a proper oil based makeup remover is necessary to get it completely off. It serves its purpose fine if you are willing to spend the time working with it. The value is okay.

So far, I am impressed with this kit. In the mid south, it is hot and humid. The struggle to keep my makeup from melting is real.Even though I can build the coverage up enough to cover tattoos with this kit, I prefer to use it as a facial concealer. The coverage for a thin layer is only matched by a specific high end brand. It has the blendability, humidity and sweat resistance, and build ability that makes this a 1:1 dupe for Derma blend. The main differences is this one includes and art project, cheaper containers, and you get much more for a fraction of the cost. The formula is creamy. This did not cause breakouts and did not seem to clog my pores.Protip: Don’t be fooled when mixing by the color of the concealer in the jar. From my experience, it was several shades lighter than my skin color. Test it against on your skin as you mix.This is well worth the cost if you are trying to cover something up

I have a tiny visible tattoo that I plan to have removed. I generally cover it so I was intrigued by this set. Straight talk, not a fan. Simply put you are going to waste half of your time trying to color match your skin tone. The texture of the formula is thick like stage makeup and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t get my tattoo covered. Honestly your money would be better spent on a good color matched concealer and some setting powder. It will save you time and a headache.My review scale explained:⭐ Don’t do it. Do not get this the tattoo makeup does cover your tattoos but at the expense of it peeling your skin my skin had a allergic reaction to the product and peeled parts of my skin and it was burning and feeling irritated and red

Tattoo cover up
This tattoo coverage concealer is ok. It is not for all skin tones at all, you can see the darkest and lightest colors on my hand. You do have to mix the two to get your ideal color. At first, I put this on and was like, wow, it covers so well, but then I waited a few minutes for it to set, and it was still pretty see-through. It took several layers to cover the black, and this is a 10-year-old tattoo, so not as bold as it once was. It is not waterproof either, and it does not set well, even with setting powder. As soon as you brush up against something, it wipes right off. So if you are going to wear this with clothing or are covering up your feet, this probably won’t do well. If it is an area that will have no contact with anything, it will be fine. Even putting some dark spots on my face, this didn’t last all day. So, in other words, ok for short time periods, but expect to use more than you expected.
