This foundation/concealer is genuinely heavy-duty, which is exactly what I needed for covering up a few older, faded tattoos and some minor skin discolorations. The full coverage is absolutely incredible; a small amount goes a very long way, so the tube lasts forever. It’s thick, so you definitely need to blend quickly, but once it sets, it’s truly waterproof and transfer-resistant. I’ve worn it to the gym, through hot humid weather, and even swimming, and it doesn’t budge. Finding the right shade (Natural Skin Tone Match) was spot on for me, and it doesn’t look cakey or mask-like if applied correctly. This product is an absolute lifesaver for professional settings or formal events where you need flawless skin coverage.

Over the years my legs have responded not too badly to my continued self-applied homemade derm-abrasion using fine sandpaper and hydrating with various lotions. Still some of the scarring left from illness years ago remained. Tried various supposedly long lasting water resistant makeups only to be disappointed time after time with them. Regardless of what they said, to one degree or another, they all came off long before they should’ve, at least according to their ads, and the same for getting on my clothes, some worse than others. I have now found a product that does what it says it can do. Using BIO-Dimot Tattoo Cover Up Makeup, I was able to match it very easily with my skin color, really without much experimentation. It applied easily and evenly, covering what needed covering better than anything I’ve tried previously. I’ve kept an eye on it and it is staying on well where it’s supposed to, and off of where it’s not wanted, as in my clothing. Does what it says it can do, and at not a bad price. Easy to use, and it goes a long way. Excellent product! Will buy again!

Okay, I want to start by saying that even though this is called “tattoo cover-up makeup,” I never intend to cover up my tattoos. I feel as though “tattoo cover-up” is just a bit of an intense and grandiose way of saying “really, really good body concealer” (although I’m sure some people do use it to cover up their tattoos).Since this is the measuring stick that they are using for their own product, I will use that standard as well (as you can see in the pictures), but I will also include my opinion of it as a general concealer.So, first off, you get a ton of product here—like, so much. I feel as though many will not realize (based on the size of the box or even the size of the tubs) how much they truly get until they actually use it. I understand that this is to cover large areas and, as I will get into later, you’re going to need more than one layer. However, the tiniest amount goes the longest way with this, and there’s really something to be said about its quality.Now, obviously, this is not dark-skin-inclusive, which is annoying. However, what I will say is that for light to medium skin tones, regardless of your undertone, you can probably successfully mix the correct shade for yourself between these two. As long as you’re not intending to use it specifically for tattoos, you can probably even mix a bit of your actual colored foundation into it and still maintain the integrity of the coverage.Now, that being said, in terms of the actual performance, this stuff works pretty darn well. As you can see in my pictures, I’ve included two images of this concealer on a tattoo on my arm. After one coat, the appearance of my tattoo is significantly reduced, and after two, there are parts that you can’t even see. That being said, two layers does seem to be the saturation point, after which it’s impossible to add anymore without it all just mixing and mixing together. So, it certainly didn’t get to full tattoo-covering status.I’ve seen ads and reviews for similar products where it does cover the entire tattoo, and I feel as though those are manipulated by a lack of true mixing. If I just let the stuff sit on top of my tattoo, it probably would have obscured most, if not all, of the details; however, that’s really just not how makeup works. You’ve got to blend it in (with the right tools, of course), and once you do, it becomes pretty dense coverage, yet not quite enough to do what it claims.That being said, my reason for giving this four stars anyway is because for those of us who just want a body concealer, a regular concealer, or a concealer that means business in general, this would definitely be it. This will cover up shave bumps, pimples, hair follicles, blemishes—really anything other than straight-up tattoo ink. This is exciting for me because the main reason I want this is to apply it to my legs in an almost lotion-like format to cover up my hair follicles. My hair is extremely dark and my skin is extremely light, so you can always still see the impression. It does that job great.It is worth noting that this formula has a scent. I’m always confused by scented skincare products, as fragrance always introduces more into the mix that could affect skin’s sensitivity. The fragrance was light and nice and didn’t bother me, but if you are sensitive to fragrances on a skin-irritation level, this might be something to avoid.Another note is that while it recommends powder at the end, I would go as far as saying that you need it. All concealer of this sort is a little greasy—that’s kind of just the way the formulation of such makeup works—and this one is certainly greasy and a bit tacky, but I don’t blame it. Powder (the correct powder, applied correctly) will set this perfectly, making it near-seamless and unmovable. Without it, well, you’ve got a really shiny spot that is likely to slough off quite rapidly.So, the main idea here is: Will this concealer cover tattoos? Not really. Is it a solid and sturdy concealer that will fulfill most of your general concealing needs? Absolutely. It’s definitely full-coverage, it’s got adaptable shades, and it has a great formula.
