Nice lip kit
This is a nice lip kit if you know you already like these products or you’re interested in trying out both from the brand. The lip liner is a twist up and is not the smoothest and creamiest but also not too stiff and difficult. For lip liners, creamy isn’t always ideal as you want it to stay in place. It lasts a decent amount of time on the lips but isn’t the longest lasting. The color is a pretty pink mauve (more on the warm side than the cool side).The lip gloss is a bit thicker than other lip glosses I’ve tried but isn’t sticky. It applies easily. The scent is what makes me hesitate to reach for it. It’s a very strong grapefruit scent but not a sweet grapefruit scent, more astringent. I do get whiffs of it after applying, but the smell does dissipate pretty quickly after application. The gloss lasts on me for several hours. It also has a minty refreshing feel to it. It isn’t painful, but I notice it hours after I’ve applied. I typically like the cool minty feeling glosses, but it’s kind of annoying that it lasts so long because it’s constantly making me aware of my lips and that cooling feeling.The bag it comes with is a thicker paper with a zipper. Mine had a black smudge across most of the front. I would not let the included bag factor into your decision to purchase this set as it’s not great quality.Overall, I think this is a nice set with good products. Nothing about the formulas stand out to me, but they’re solid and if you purchase this, I don’t think you’d be disappointed.

This lip gloss, liner, and cosmetic pouch set from Thrive Causmetics is cute. The lip gloss is not my favorite – I don’t find it to be a plumping lip gloss at all, it provides the tingle I’m accustomed to with plumping lip gloss but delivers no visible result. It’s not sticky or tacky and does feel hydrating. The color is a neutral pink that doesn’t really show up on my lips. The liner is great – smooth like butter and long lasting. The pouch feels like it’s made from recycled materials. It has that papery/plastic feel. I’m not sure this set is worth the money if you’re purchasing it for yourself, but it would make a lovely gift for a fan of Thrive.
