Metal wand is great, and no clumps.
I have very sensitive skin, and am very picky with what goes on my face. In my experience, it’s really difficult to find a mascara that coats the lashes without making them look like spider legs. I am so, so happy to say this one is a good one! The mascara does a great job of coating evenly, and the metal wand separates the lashes really well. It dries quickly, so it can be layered. The wand is awesome! I’ve never seen one like it, and I am sold. The straight brush is helpful for getting the corners and bottom lashes. The color is also nice – understated but noticeable. Because the quality and ease-of-use, I would definitely recommend this mascara. The price is decent considering all of these factors.

No flakes, no raccoon eyes, and it rinses off with warm water — perfect for mature lashes
I picked this up for an older relative who’d basically given up on mascara because everything either flaked down onto her cheeks by afternoon or was a battle to scrub off at night. The tubing formula solved both problems in one go, it wraps each lash in a little tube that stays put all day with zero flaking or smudging, then slides right off with just warm water and a gentle wipe. For someone with sensitive, mature eyes, not having to rub and tug at the lashes to remove it was the selling point. On thinner, shorter lashes it adds real length and a natural, separated look rather than clumping them into spider legs. It builds a bit with a second coat but never gets heavy or crunchy, so the lashes still feel soft. Through a warm day and even a few watery-eyed moments it held without running, which is exactly what tubing mascara is supposed to do and a lot of them don’t.The warm-water removal is genuinely the best part for this age group, no oily remover, no cotton pads full of black smears, just a warm washcloth and the tubes rinse away clean. It’s gentle enough that it hasn’t irritated her eyes over regular use. For anyone with mature or sensitive eyes who’s been frustrated by flaking and hard removal, this is a thoughtful formula, and it’s brought a little bit of an everyday routine back for her.

Comparable to big-brand mascaras
I can be clumsy with my hands, and struggle to hold steady enough to apply certain makeup products (think liquid eyeliner, highly-pigmented lipstick, etc.—I can’t even paint my own nails without making a mess). When using traditional mascara wands, the longer bristles and shape of the wands usually results in me getting mascara on my eyelids since there really isn’t much room for error.I tried this mascara out when going to the movies today. The metal applicator made it easier to avoid getting mascara on my eyelids, since it isn’t nearly as thick as the average mascara wand—I actually didn’t get any on my lids at all. The length it adds is comparable to other big-brand mascaras I’ve used. I cry during nearly every movie, and it stayed on through that, which was nice. No smudging, flaking or “raccoon eyes.” If you struggle with or have given up on traditional mascara wands, this one is worth a try.

Not my favorite mascara
This mascara lacked in the lengthening department. I didn’t care for the metal wand or the design of the “bristles” on the metal wand. It doesn’t really bend to flow with the curve of your lashes. Maybe it is more intended for the 60+ ladies lashes than my 37 year old lashes? It did come off easy when I was ready for it to come off at the end of the day. I felt like the formula of the mascara had me getting it one my skin more than my usual mascara. Overall, it wasn’t for me.

Did not meet expectations!
I had such high hopes for the metal wand but it did not perform as hoped. I would return if I could. I have MANY other mascara that separate and lengthen my puny lashes much better than this one! And application was a nightmare! Got all over my lids at the base of my lashes. Just bad all around.

Better in the pictures.
First application was great! After that it gets too goopy. Pretty bummed out. I was hopeful

No Flakes and Good Longevity
Overall, a good purchase.I ordered this mascara in black. I attempted to use a little on my brows like the description suggests you can, but it was really too dark to look good on them. The brown would have been a better choice for my brows, though I am fine with the black on my lashes. It comes in a lightweight metal tube and has a narrow metal-bristled applicator. I appreciate the lightweight, non-clumping, tubing formula. It glides on well and feels airy/almost nonexistent while wearing. I like this because my lashes are old, very thin/sparse and tend to droop when a formula is heavy. The 2 photos of my lashes are after first applying two coats, and then intentionally not removing it for over 24 hours so I could test how well it held up. I feel it has very good longevity and still remained looking decent after a shower and a nights rest.Although the narrow wand does not hold much product at one time (see other photo), I feel that is a good thing for controlling the application to my lower lashes and to ensure even coats on my upper lashes. Less is more!I most appreciate that it did not flake and it left my lashes intact/feeling healthy when I finally removed the long-lasting formula each time.Something to consider: I deducted a star because it did not give me the noticeable curling/lengthening results I was hoping for after reading the description. Though that may just be due to my sparse, thin lashes. So if there was a half a star, I would’ve added the half a star because I don’t know if it’s the formula or me.

The wand makes the lashes clump and gets product on the skin.
The ridges on this mascara wand are really tiny and very close together. With regular drugstore mascaras the bristles/ridges are usually longer and more spread out, which I feel does a better job of separating and lengthening the lashes. With this one, my lashes seemed to clump together more, and I didn’t get as much length or separation. It was harder to apply without getting mascara on my eyelids, and I had the same problem with my lower lashes, where I would end up with mascara underneath my eyes. I think the tiny, closely spaced ridges just make it harder to control and gets on the skin. The formula itself is okay. It didn’t really smudge or flake on me. But overall, I don’t think the performance was as good as a basic drugstore mascara. The brush design made this more difficult to use rather than better.
