Disappointing Primer That Lacks Pore-Filling and Performance Benefits
I had high hopes for this primer, particularly for its pore-filling capabilities to create a smoother makeup base—but unfortunately, it didn’t deliver. The formula has a slight cooling effect and a bit of tackiness, which made it somewhat difficult to apply foundation evenly on top. The stickiness interfered with blending, rather than helping makeup adhere smoothly. To test its effectiveness, I applied it to one half of my face and left the other side bare. Right after makeup application, I couldn’t see any noticeable difference in finish or texture between the two sides. After a 5-hour work shift, there was still no visible improvement in wear, coverage, or oil control on the primed side. Overall, this product didn’t provide the pore-smoothing or longevity benefits I was looking for. I personally didn’t see any value in continuing to use it.

Hydrating + a refill
I really like this primer! The gel texture feels lightweight when I put it on, but it still gives my skin a good amount of hydration. I like the dewy finish it leaves because it makes my skin look fresh before I even start putting on makeup. The fact that it comes with a refill is also really nice, you get the original container plus another 1.1 oz of product, so you don’t have to immediately repurchase when you run out. I’ve been enjoying it when I want my makeup to have more of that hydrated, fresh-skin look rather than looking dry or overly matte.

Subtle Radiance For A Polished Look
This preparation aims to deliver a refined surface for subsequent application, emphasizing prolonged freshness and preventing undesirable texture. It’s presented as a jelly-gel with an intention to feel weightless, dissolving into something akin to water upon contact. The focus is on maintaining moisture levels for an extended period—around eight hours, according to the information provided—and avoiding a dense or flaky appearance. The composition avoids certain common ingredients, suggesting an attempt at minimizing potential irritation and creating a more agreeable experience. The texture is genuinely interesting; it isn’t the typical cream or lotion consistency often associated with similar products. It feels cool and refreshing, spreading easily without requiring significant effort. This fluidity is a definite advantage; it allows for even distribution and avoids that heavy, layered sensation some preparations can impart. The intention of a water-like finish is largely realized; it doesn’t leave a sticky residue or noticeable film. The eight-hour hydration claim feels plausible; it certainly extends the wear time of subsequent application and prevents that tight, uncomfortable feeling as the day progresses. It’s a preparatory step that genuinely enhances the overall experience of makeup application, creating a more seamless and polished result. The avoidance of certain ingredients—mineral oils, alcohol, and talc—is a thoughtful touch. It speaks to an awareness of potential sensitivities and a desire to create something more universally agreeable. The packaging is also worth noting; the jar feels substantial and well-made, and the inclusion of a built-in spatula is a practical detail. The refillable cartridge concept is particularly appealing; it suggests an intention toward sustainability and reduces waste, which is always a welcome consideration. It’s not just about the product itself; it’s about the entire presentation and the thoughtfulness behind it.However, while the texture is light, those accustomed to heavier preparations might find this a bit too subtle. It doesn’t offer significant coverage or correction on its own; it’s purely a base to enhance subsequent application. It’s also worth noting that while the jar feels substantial, it’s a glass container; caution is advised to prevent breakage. Overall, this preparation delivers on its promise of creating a smooth, fresh base and extending the wear time of makeup. It’s a refined step that enhances the overall experience, particularly for those who prefer a lighter approach.

Better Than Expected Hydrating Primer – Color Me Impressed!
TL;DR: This primer looks and feels great on both young and older skin, keeps makeup in place, and delivers a natural, hydrated finish. For under $20 — with a refill included — it’s a steal.I’m 45 with dry, aging skin and a very low tolerance for anything that feels heavy or drying — and this one blew my expectations out of the water. For context, I’ve been getting by with a mix of moisturizer and sunscreen as my DIY primer (thanks, TikTok beauty hacks), but I wanted to try something real, something made to prime my skin WITHOUT sucking all the moisture out of it or making me look like my face is flaking off. This primer comes in a cute little tub with a spoon hidden within the lid. The set also includes a refill cup — though heads up, it’s not resealable. My daughter grabbed the refill immediately, and we transferred it to another container for her. Yes, it’s teenager-approved too. She normally uses heavy-duty primers like NYX Face Glue, but even she liked the texture of this one. She compared it to E.L.F. Power Grip, but lighter. The texture is what really sold me. It goes on like a gel, spreads easily, and doesn’t feel like an extra layer sitting on top of your face. Most primers I’ve tried in the past have left me flaky around my cheeks and nose by mid-day, but this one kept my skin feeling dewy and smooth all day long. I tested it on a long workday and included before/after pics to prove it: zero dry patches, no weird clumping, just soft, glowy skin from morning to night.A small caveat: this stuff is hydrophobic, so it won’t grip well if your skin is still damp or sweaty. You’ll want to give your face a minute to dry completely (fan yourself if you have to — I do) before applying. Then take a pea-sized amount, dot it around your face, and pat, don’t rub. It sets quickly once you start patting it in and leaves a smooth finish.

Smooth gel primer
Love this face primer! It goes on like a smooth gel, spreads easily with just a pea-sized amount, and doesn’t feel sticky at all. The scent is light and nice. The packaging is really pretty and feels high quality, plus there’s a little spoon hidden in the lid, which I love.

Smells good
Honestly, I can’t say I’ve noticed a difference based on how it feels on my skin. It feels the same as it did before applying and doesn’t appear to minimize my pores. It does smell good however and I love that the scoop pops right out of the lid. It’s got beautiful packaging and also came with a travel sized one as well.

A review from a makeup newbie…
I’ve never worn much makeup so I don’t have a lot of experience with products but now that I’m older and I can’t rely on “youthful radiance” anymore and need a little assist to even out my skin. It didn’t take long to learn I needed some kind of primer because foundation was looking dread awful! So I ordered this. And I really like.1st I’d say this is more like jello than jelly. It’s jiggly and not sticky like jelly plus it kinda smells of blue raspberry flavor. It’s not a strong scent but it’s a pretty and fun scent. The packaging is SO smart! It’s a refillable tub and they give you a refill with the order that makes it quite a bargain. Plus it’s eco friendly which I like. They also incorporated a little spoon/spatula into the lid which is so smart and convenient! I love that. And the primer works. It gives a little glow to my skin and once it sets it’s not heavy or too tacky but it sure helps foundation and concealer go on better. I tried taking a photo of makeup on my hand with and without the primer but my camera just couldn’t pick it up well enough. So instead I added one with just the primer to show the glow. This primer makes foundation spread easier giving me a lighter more consistent coat and prevents it from settling into my lines. Now I understand why people use it. And even though I’m not experienced, everything about this seems like a good one. And with the refill you get the price is great.

Nice product but lack of transparency about ingredients and origin of product
I feel like this is a nice product, but I had to take off a star because of the lack of information about the ingredients in the product. I have included a picture of the ingredient list so you can see for yourself. These are clean ingredients but I wish they had more transparency about it having collagen in it because I try to buy vegan products and didn’t realize this wasn’t vegan. But since I already had it, I did try it out and it is very nice. It has a little spoon that fits nicely into the lid. The texture is very firm and jelly like. It has a nice blueberry scent to it. It did look nice on my face too. But if I had known that it wasn’t vegan, I wouldn’t have purchased it. I also was a little scared to try it honestly because all the print on the box was in Chinese (the ingredient list was on plastic wrap over the box). But if you aren’t vegan, it does seem like a nice product despite all the concerns. Just understand that it is made in China.
