Heavy fragrance, confusion around SPF content.
This is a nice primer that not only preps the skin for makeup, but also has a tone up effect, leaving the skin looking brighter with a nice dewy glow.I took a star off because the fragrance is quite strong and for those sensitive to that, may find it irritating. It’s a heavy floral powder scent and it’s a bummer it’s included. Fragrance lands in the middle of the ingredient list, so there is a significant amount.There also is the confusion around if this has SPF protection or not. The listing doesn’t mention it and the box and the tube itself has stickers covering the SPF information. But then you can find titanium dioxide in the ingredient list, which is a UV physical blocker. So it does provide some SPF protection if you’re going off of the ingredient list. My guess is that after the US FDA passed its ruling regarding UV filters earlier this year, a lot of foreign sunscreen products have had to be reformulated for the US market (booooo, because Asian sunscreens are usually way better and advanced in their UV protection tech). Instead of reformulating, maybe this company is able to still sell their product and just not market it as a sun protection product. Confusing.Either way, you should always apply sunscreen as the last step of your skincare and then proceed with makeup (like a primer), even if your makeup has SPF in it. So if you use this primer, get it for its makeup purposes, not the SPF.

great product but wouldn’t be first choice for a primer
here were my wife’s pros and cons of this product!pros:- this primer includes SPF (43 PA+++) and notes that it has UV protection- works well with most skin tones and types; this tended to work well with my medium toned skin- excellent base for makeup. helps to achieve a very natural look and natural glow- easy to apply and straightforward instructions. i use this as a makeup base- plant based skincare brand (yunjac only uses plant-based ingredients)cons- a bit pricey for the amount that you get but a little product goes a long way- isn’t the most effective in preventing against caking, but it works excellent for lightweight makeup so that’s what matters i guess :)overall, still definitely would be a repurchase but wouldn’t be the number one choice for a primer.

I’ve tried a few products from Yunjac over the past several months, and one thing that really stands out to me is how the brand blends traditional Korean herbal ingredients with a more modern, skin-first philosophy. Their formulas tend to focus on balance and skin health rather than heavy, makeup-like coverage, and this glow prep base feels very in line with that approach.Even though this is marketed as a primer, it’s definitely not your typical silicone-based, pore-filling formula. Instead, it has more of a cream-like texture that feels almost like an extension of your skincare. I use it after moisturizer, and it layers really nicely without feeling heavy or suffocating on the skin. It doesn’t blur pores in that traditional “smoothing” way, but it does create a more even, hydrated-looking base with a soft, natural glow.Ingredient-wise, I really like what’s going on here. It includes niacinamide, which is great for helping to brighten the skin and support a more even tone over time, along with vitamin E for antioxidant support and hydration. There’s also fermented green tea, which is a really nice addition. It’s known for its soothing and antioxidant properties, and fermentation can help improve how well those ingredients absorb into the skin. Altogether, it feels like you’re getting a bit of skincare benefit while prepping your makeup, which I always appreciate.There is a slight tint to this, but I would describe it as very sheer. Looks nice but not confident in the ingredients
I want to love it, but it wouldn’t be my first choice. That said, it’s perfectly acceptable. I didn’t like that it had stickers over some information, which I’m sure they went to a lot of trouble to apply, but doesn’t make one confident in what exactly the product supplies. It makes a good primer, I think it helps makeup stay on, though I find it a little thick. The scent is not one I mind, but some might. I suspect this has SPF, but again the stickers make me not confident in how much. Overall it’s just okay, it kind of gives the impression that it’s a cheaper product TBH, and while that might be fine for young skin, even to have ain’t skin you want pure and clearly explained ingredients.

A really nice barely-there creamy barely-tinted primer that smoothes pores and imparts a subtle glow
I’m really enjoying using this Yunjac Skin Perfecting Glow Prep Base cream primer. I was a little surprised when I first used it to find out that it’s tinted. True, it’s super sheer, but you’re definitely putting a layer of highlighting primer down. Personally I’m a little weird about encountering beauty products that equate skin lightness with beauty, so I was a little skeptical. Plus, I had just used some self tanner on my face so I felt like maybe this would defeat the purpose. Well, in the end I really like the look, which does very subtly increase the “glow” of my skin without necessarily whitening my skin in an obvious sense. Functionally, it works well as a primer, and in fact I find it indistinguishable in performance with my other two “long wear” primers. It has a faint, lovely “expensive beauty product” smell. And I love the dispenser — FINALLY a dispenser that has the pump nozzle on the BOTTOM, so you don’t waste product! And while it only dispenses a small pea sized amount, it spreads really well on the skin and easily covers my whole face. I use this along with the Yunjac Prep Water which I also love, and together with my Laura Mercier tinted matte foundation, they really come together and let me achieve this “glass skin” look with smooth pores and disappearing wrinkles. My friends have even noticed that my skin is “glowing” which I find hilarious because it’s just so exactly what the product promises on the box. I don’t want to overpromise. This is just a primer, after all. But I do think that the pore-filling formula and glowy reflectiveness of the formula does have a real effect that is noticeable. So overall, I’m really impressed. The only downside might (MIGHT!) be that since this is kind of small, I might end up going through a bottle faster than other primers. But this is a really great product I’m happy to recommend.

The misprinted container that was covered with a sticker made me lose trust and confidence in using this product. It was disappointing, as I had my hope in this product. I would appreciate if this was fixed. Thank you.
