I bought the axolotl party set for my niece’s birthday and was surprised that the finger lights actually lit up enough to be seen on the wall near the kids. These are the most delightful animated illustrations of axolotls. I was not aware that an axolotl was a real creature until I saw these and looked up the name. They are a fully aquatic salamander that stays in its baby like form! I also learned this cute creature is a critically endangered species.These lights and temporary tattoos have so far been the most favorite design chosen when I’ve offer several different themes out at festivals. People are so delighted by these finger lights. And they are a great icebreaker because I get questions about the Axolotl design and folks want to know what an Axolotl is!The finger lights are surprisingly bright too, while I wouldn’t rely on them alone for festival camping, they’re helpful in a pinch if you forget your headlamp. I’ve ordered quite a few finger light and temporary tattoo party favors over the years, and this is one of the cutest and best quality sets I’ve come across.The axolotl designs are adorable, and both the finger lights and tattoos are bright, colorful, and printed clearly. I’ve received similar sets in the past where the images were blurry or washed out, but these look crisp and match the listing photos well. I also appreciate that the finger lights come with battery pull tabs. That means the batteries aren’t draining while the package sits in storage, so all of the lights were bright right out of the package. I’ve had other sets arrive with dim lights because they didn’t include the tabs.The tattoos are perforated into individual pieces, which makes them much easier to hand out than cutting them apart yourself.
