Effective Oil-Based Face Paint
There are a lot of varieties of face paint, including the water based ones, oil based, and some that seem to be in-between. The water based are easy to apply but may need a couple layers to get nice color. The oil based ones like this are also easy to apply because they are nice and creamy. However, they don’t dry well, and they will smear or smudge unless you use powder to nicely set them. This set of oil-based paint has great color, is nice and creamy, goes on easily, and stays on nicely with finishing powder. It then washes off pretty easily with a dry tissue to start, and them some soap and water.

This black and white face paint is really great quality. It applies very smoothly and creates a very deep black color, and a pretty good pure white. It covers with minimal effort. You will need to set this with a spray or powder as it stays pretty sticky and wet so can smudge and transfers easily. You receive a really large jar of the two colors. The white comes off easily with soap and water, but the black is more stubborn, especially after extended wear, so I suggest a makeup remover or baby oil to avoid scrubbing your skin clean off to remove the color.

This is a very heavy cream, which remains a bit tacky. If you want that sort of slick look, leave it be, but if you want a slightly more natural textured look, you definitely will have to give it a bit of powder to flatten it out a bit. Pretty I large amount, and cleans off relatively easily. I don’t think I’d want to wear it all day, just because it’s so creamy it feels a bit heavy on the pours, but good for an evening of costume play.
