A Super Fun Covergirl Lip Gloss to Get into a Stranger Things “Mood”
I’m smiling as I type this review (although in one of the photos it may look “upside down” 🤭) It had been a VERY long time since I have tried a PH transforming cosmetic item (more than “eleven” years). I decided to “experiment” with Covergirl’s Stranger Things lip gloss in the “Hawkins Lab” shade. Here’s are my “lab notes”:- On creativity: I LOVE that the Covergirl x Stranger Things are reversed on the tube so one brand is always “upside down.” There are also some deep purple fissures on the wand that also make it clear this gloss is limited-edition.- On PH-transforming color: The first couple of times I tried the gloss, I didn’t notice any real change in lip color. With a little internet “research and found that it was likely due to my lips being too dry. Problem solved! Once I made sure my lips were more hydrated, the color varied from a pretty peony color to what I called “adult bubblegum.” I am a fan of my own PH lip colors. 😊- On the gloss: I love the softness of the applicator. It does make the product go on in a noticeably thick layer. The gloss gleams without being too reflective. I did find that the gloss does erode away within 20 – 30 minutes but does so with a hint of shine and color. The color seems to continue for at least an hour to 90 minutes.- NOTE: The applicator does seem to change color relatively quickly. I am guessing it is due in part to the introduction of my PH (balanced and unbalanced).Seriously, this is a fun lip gloss. I am a fan of the series, so it was a must try. I’m pleased I did. My lips are better hydrated and look great (even when I am upside down) … ⭐⭐⭐⭐
