Nice Temporary Glow, But Not a Lasting Tan
This instant glow self-tanner gel is more like a body bronzer than a true sunless tan. It gives a nice glow right after applying, and I like that it comes with two bottles, but the color doesn’t really last. If you’re looking for something that washes off and gives quick, temporary color, this works. But if you want a long-lasting self-tan, this isn’t it.

This gives a beautiful, instant bronzed glow and the color looks really natural once it’s blended in. It’s great that it works for both face and body. It definitely evens everything out and gives that “summer tan” look fast. I also like that it includes Vitamin E and avocado oil, because it feels hydrating instead of dry or streaky.Just keep in mind that this behaves much more like a bronzer than a traditional self tanner. The color fades as soon as you shower, and it wears off gradually throughout the day. There’s no actual developing tan underneath as it’s surface-level color that washes away. The water-resistant claim helps a bit, but it’s still temporary.The brush it comes with is really helpful for blending around the hairline and neck, and the 2-pack makes it a pretty good value.Overall, great for quick, pretty color… just don’t expect long-lasting self-tanner results.

This product is a game changer…after a famous skin care company discontinued theirs. Ive been looking for a replacement. This is it. No streak, doesn’t stain and ling lasting.

Not a self-tanner—more like a bronzing mixer with a great brush
I would encourage folks to read the entire product page so they understand what this product is and what it is not. But hopefully this review will help anyone who, like me, still came away wondering, “So is this a self-tanner or not?”No—it is not.This is basically a bronzing toner you can mix into your moisturizer or even into your liquid foundation to give yourself a more tanned look. It does not stain the skin or create a lasting tan or develop into darker skin over time. Think of it more like makeup than self-tanner.The brush it comes with is fantastic. I hate to sound like I’m gushing, but this brush did a wonderful job distributing the product (mixed with my favorite facial sunscreen) evenly and blending it around the curves of my face. I’ve owned a lot of fancy makeup brushes, but this one is now my favorite for all liquid foundation applications.On my very fair skin, the effect wasn’t flattering—it left me with an orange hue. I’ve used bronzers that look less orange, and in this case even my husband noticed and asked what was going on with my face. The upside is that because it isn’t a self-tanner, it washed off completely at night and left no trace.If your skin has more yellow undertones (mine is cool-toned) or if you’re naturally a bit darker, this could be a nice way to add a glow without sun exposure. On my husband’s, ahem, “shiny area” under his hat, this worked great to make that skin the same color as his face and neck.I didn’t try it on my body as the listing suggests, but if I ever do, I’ll come back and update this review.As it stands, this wasn’t a win for me personally—but the brush alone was worth the experience, and I can see this working for others with different skin tones.Note: I would have given this only 3 stars because the claim that it works for all skin tones and isn’t orange didn’t line up with my experience. However, I added back one extra star because the brush is excellent and possibly worth the cost of the whole kit to me.
