Adds length on sparse lashes
from wife: One to two coats does add noticeable length and a bit of thickness. From a normal conversation distance it reads as “she has lashes,” not a heavy glam look.The brush comes out loaded. If you apply straight from the tube you will get clumps. Wipe the excess on the rim (or a tissue), wiggle at the roots, and comb through. That is the difference between a decent everyday look and a spider-leg mess. It stayed put on my upper lashes through a normal day; lower lashes and very watery eyes still transferred a little into fine lines, so I would not call it truly smudge-proof.It is not lash extensions. Ads oversell that. Removal was easier than a heavy waterproof mascara — cleanser plus a cotton pad took it off without a tug-of-war.

Natural look
I like this mascara because it gives my lashes both length and volume while still keeping them separated and natural looking. I prefer some definition without a heavy dramatic look, and this gives me the kind of everyday look I like. Just more natural and simple.Pros: It goes on smoothly without much clumping, flaking, or smudging, which makes it convenient for me to wear throughout the day. I also like that it gives my lashes more definition without making them look overly dark or heavy.Cons: I honestly haven’t found any so far. If you prefer a very bold, dramatic lash look, this may be more natural than what you’re looking for. You might need to find a different mascara.I’m happy with it and like how natural my lashes look while still having extra length and volume. I have received compliments on my lashes while wearing this!

Natural Look and Zero Smudging
This mascara didn’t clump upon application. It went on lengthening and separating lashes. I did see the lengthening, but it does not thicken lashes. It is a more natural look which is why this is targeted towards older women. I’m in my 40’s, and I like the natural look for everyday wear.This stayed on all day without smudging. In fact, I rubbed my eye, and there was still no smudging. When I removed it, I used a cotton round with micellar water, and the cotton didn’t have any black mascara on it. I wondered if it even came off. Even after washing my face, I felt like there was still some on my lashes. My lashes felt sticky. The length was back to normal though, so it seems it was partially removed. The next morning my lashes had moved in different directions. It’s the way I slept, but the mascara acted almost like a hair spray keeping the lashes in the position they were in. After washing my face in the morning, it did come off completely and my lashes felt clean and natural again. I guess what is different with this in comparison to other mascaras, is I can see the black color on cotton and know when it’s completely removed. I saw nothing on the cotton pad so it was hard to feel like I removed it all.Overall, I’ll still use it because it wears well and gives you a natural look.

It’s just mascara. Black mascara.It went on really thick initially so I wiped the brush with paper towel. After it was a normal amount I put it on like I always do with mascara. It went on smoothly but did see to not be dry initially—kind of like the cheap mascara of my youth.I like tubing mascaras where it goes on evenly and enhances lashes nicely. This is not that type nor does it thicken like that. This takes 2 plus coats to obtain a nice thickness.The price is comparable to drug store brands. This is just meh. Not buying it again

Darkens my lashes, but I’m not seeing the promised length or volume
I was intrigued by this mascara because it’s specifically marketed toward older women, although after using it I’m honestly not sure what makes the formula particularly suited to older women versus anyone else who wears mascara.Unfortunately, I’m also not seeing most of the results advertised in the listing. The mascara does make my lashes look darker and more defined, but I’m not seeing a noticeable increase in length or thickness. I certainly wouldn’t describe the result as looking anything like lash extensions.The application itself is fine, and my lashes don’t look excessively clumpy or unnatural. If all I wanted were a basic mascara to darken my lashes, it would accomplish that. But this is marketed specifically as a lengthening and volumizing mascara that creates thicker, longer and more dramatic lashes, and that’s simply not the result I’m getting.I also find the “for older women” marketing a little off-putting when I can’t identify anything about the actual performance that makes this particularly appropriate or beneficial for an older woman.For me, this works as a basic darkening mascara, but it doesn’t deliver the length, volume or dramatic effect that the product description led me to expect.

Great lashes without smearing or clumping
This mascara is awesome. My eyelashes are naturally light and thin, and I have tried more brands and types I can’t count. This mascara coated my eyelashes but didn’t look clumpy. After several hours even expensive name brand mascara smears and looks nasty. This mascara looks the same as it did when I applied it.At first glance it looks really thick on the brush, but it didn’t clump on my eyelashes. It just looks nice and not like tarantula legs. It lengthened my lashes a little, and thickened them a lot.If you’re older (I’m in my 60’s) and want lashes that are attractive without going overboard or looking like a racoon, you should try this mascara.

Decent mascara with wild marketing… takes effort to build length and to remove
First off, marketing this specifically as a mascara for “older women” feels a bit ridiculous. At 40, I suppose I qualify, but I certainly don’t shop for mascara any differently now than I did 20 years ago, nor do I think a formula needs to be overhauled based on age!Marketing name aside, the mascara itself is just okay. I have decent natural lashes, so most formulas work fairly well on me, though I have a rise or die from the drugstore that beats out $50 name brands. Some expensive ones end up super dry and flaky, some clumpy, while others get weighed down. This one fell right in the middle. I found the texture a bit clumpy, and despite the claim of getting instant volume in a single application, it actually took quite a few coats to build up the length I like.Taking it off at night was also a bit of a process. My usual routine of an oil face cleanser followed by Vaseline for eye makeup usually melts everything right off, but this required extra scrubbing and patience to completely remove.I am giving 3.5 stars (rounding up to 4) primarily for its staying power; it didn’t smudge or fade throughout the day and lasted really well. Otherwise, it is a pretty average mascara.

Nice Mascara for a More Natural Lash Look
I like the idea behind this mascara, especially for older women who may not want a super heavy or overly dramatic lash. It is meant to add both length and volume while still keeping the lashes looking more natural. I noticed while it colored my lashes, it did little else though. After 3 coats, as directed, it didn’t build and only colored.I also appreciate that the focus is on no clumping and smudge resistance. Those are two of the biggest things I look for in a mascara, especially when trying to get definition without ending up with thick, spidery lashes.Overall, this seems best for someone who wants defined-looking lashes with a softer, more natural finish rather than an extremely dramatic mascara look.
