New Release of the Year at King of Halloween: AMMONIA-FREE Liquid Latex – completely odorless! Latex fun without those annoying smells ;-) Everything else stays the same – easy to use and with the same great results. With liquid latex, you can create a wide variety of applications. Here’s a quick step-by-step tutorial on how to easily create fake wounds with liquid latex: What you’ll need: Fake blood Liquid latex Black and white water-based makeup Spirit gum (for re-attaching edges) Tissues Vaseline Small scissors Brush and/or sponge Step-by-step instructions: Apply Vaseline generously to the area where you want to place the wound. Dab liquid latex over the Vaseline using a sponge or brush. Tear small pieces of tissue, place them onto the still-wet latex, and brush on another layer of latex. Repeat this process as many times as you like. (Optional) Blend the area with skin-tone makeup. Carefully cut into the layered latex with scissors to create an opening – take extra care not to hurt yourself. Use fake blood to paint the open wound. For added depth and realism, apply black makeup to the inner edges. Let everything dry completely. (Tip: You can use the cold air setting on your blow-dryer to speed up drying time.) And voilà – your realistic wound is done! With this technique, you can also create other types of wounds and effects. At King of Halloween, we’ve developed our products for online sales after massive success in stores – only with items that have truly proven themselves. We drew inspiration from movies like The Walking Dead, Twilight, Resident Evil, Underworld, and Frankenstein.
