I loved having a reason to tear through all of my palettes that I had laying around with only one or two colors that inspired me to buy them. I’ve cleared up so much clutter on my makeup desk and it really helps me to have the colors clearly organized when I’m getting ready. Also helped me to see that I had so many of the same tones and I don’t need another five palettes.

Great to create your own eyeshadow and blush palette
I am a professional makeup artist and use this to put in all my eyeshadow and blush pans. Makes the perfect palette. If you want to just buy the pans of eyeshadow and choose your own, there are plenty of companies on Amazon that sell them in pans, like Anastasia. She has great colors and great quality. I also buy the ColorPop palettes that are made of pressed paper, and tear them apart. The eyeshadow pans come right out and your can make your own palette in these compacts.

My go-to magnetic palette for custom watercolor projects
I’ve purchased 20–30 of these so far, and this is my go-to magnetic palette.I use it specifically to make custom mica powder watercolor pans using bottle caps. The bottle caps stick securely to the magnetic base, and everything stays in place while still being easy to rearrange. The magnet strength is excellent for this purpose.This is not how it’s originally marketed, but it works perfectly as a compact, customizable watercolor palette. I’ve also used magnetic stickers for other projects, and they adhere well to this surface.I’m currently purchasing more to use for an art lesson with neighborhood kids where they’ll be making their own mica watercolor pans in bottle caps. For this specific use, it’s reliable and works beautifully.If you’re creating DIY watercolor setups with magnetic bases, this is a solid choice.
